Catribana Roman Bridge

Sintra

Information

The Catribana Bridge, located over the Samarra streamlet, is situated next to the charming small village of Catribana, in the São João das Lampas village, on the wide Sintra department.

The Bridge is composed of one arch only, and suffered many restoration and alterations throughout the centuries.
On the southern side of the bridge it is still visible a piece of the pavement of the Roman road that accessed the structure, with about 50 meters long, known as the “Castle Pathway”.
