Pero Viseu Roman Bridge

Fundão

Information

Situated at about 4km distance from Pero Viseu, and over the Meimoa River, this is a great example of a traditional Roman civil architecture.
This bridge would have been next to a Roman settlement, in the road to Idanha-a-Nova, as many Roman vestiges were found in this area, many of them now present in the José Monteiro Museum, in Fundão.

The bridge is constituted by three round arches with well disposed staves, with a plain roadway, with some vestiges of the old pavement.
