Ursa Beach

Azóia - Sintra

Information

Situated in the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park, the Ursa Beach has a gorgeous landscape, surrounded by nature, considered to be one of the most beautiful beaches in this area.
The access to the beach is a bit steep and difficult, but undoubtedly worth the effort, and can take up to one hour.
The sandy area has around 50 metres wide, a bit less when the sea tide is high.
The Beach owes its name to the huge rock with a natural Bear (Ursa) shape, with another rocky formation on its side, named Gigante (Giant).
As the access to the beach is quite hard, it is mainly frequented by fishermen and naturists.

How to get here:
From the Road N247 follow the other road N274-4, heading towards Cape Roca. Follow the signage.
