Penhas Douradas
Penhas Douradas is located in the most cold region of Portugal, right in the heart of the big Estrela Mountain Range, at about 1500 meters high.
Integrated in the great Estrela Mountain Natural Park, and with a fantastic view over the Manteigas village, over the Glacier Valley of the beautiful Zêzere River, Penhas Douradas were blessed by the Mountain side nature, with an unique beauty.
Penhas Douradas are also known for being the first place with a Mountain Tourism unit, that is nowadays one of the images of the Estrela Mountain, and is also characterized by its romantic “Chalets” dispersed in between a mountain vegetation with an astonishing panorama, where peace of mind rules.
