Ancão Beach
The Natural Park of Ria Formosa starts in the Ancão Beach. This Beach has an extensive sandy area and a vast area with dunes.
Ancão Beach is well known for its famous upper class frequency, the so called Portuguese Jet Set.
The Beach presents several facilities that perfectly fit in this zone of unquestionable environmental quality, being all the Ancão Valley involved by a forest constituted predominantly by pine trees and dune vegetation.
How to get here
Starting from Escanxinas (on the road between Quarteira and Almancil), turn on the sign that states “Vale do Lobo”. On the junction to Vale do Lobo/Quinta do Lago, turn left and than turn right, following the signage to Ancão Beach.
