Arquinha da Moira's Anta

Located on the lovely Lajeosa do Dão small village, on the amazing Tondela department, the Arquinha Anta constitutes one of the best legacies of ancient Human occupancy in the region.

This Megalithic Monument, that is thought to date from the 3rd millennium b.C., is classified as a Public Interest Building, presenting a polygonal chamber with seven supports, four of them conserving quite interesting engravings in red, orange and black tones.

The archaeological researches discovered several testimonies of ancient human occupancy, such as ceramics fragments, bones, jewellery, among many other items.

The interior of the Arquinha da Moira Anta is presently closed to the public.
