Pramelas Dolmen



Classified as a Public Interest Building since 2002, this interesting Megalithic Monument is located on the Canas do Senhorim region, in the Nelas department.

Studied since 1985, the Pramelas Dolmen is a megalithic sepulchre formed by a funerary chamber, composed by nine struts, with access by a corridor with seven struts. The dolmen was probably covered by a tumulus, nowadays disappeared.

It is thought that this monument was built at about 6.000 years, which archaeological excavations discovered several silex artefacts, like axes and other weapons, as well as a schist bead necklace.
