Torre de Moncorvo Castle Ruins

Torre de Moncorvo

Information

The Torre de Moncorvo Castle, from which only parts of the defensive walls are now left, was probably built during the reigns of kings D. Afonso III (1248 to 1279) and D. Dinis (1279 to 1325) and received improvement works in 1376.

On the 18th century part of the structures were already ruined and were demolished in 1842.

What is now left of the Castle is classified as Public Interest Building.
