Tou Tei Temple

Information

Tou Tei Temple, located at Rua da Ribeira do Patane, is a Chinese temple in Macau, which is dedicated to Tou Tei, the God of the earth.
It's also dedicated to Kun Iam (Goddess of Mercy) and Buddha.

The stele built into the wall dating back to 1789, describing the temple as having been built between 1736 and 1795, being one of the five temples built in the Ming Dynasty.
Tou Tei Temple is situated on a hillside. Several of its chambers are aligned horizontally.

The old and imnportante stone arch erected before the Water Palace and Moon by later generations, are three characters, Water Palace and Moon written by Scholar He Wuzou Ming Dynasty.
