Piscais Roman Bridge

Situated over the adorable Corgo river, on the northern side of Vila Real, in Borbela, the Piscais Roman Bridge, quite altered in the 17th century, is an important heritage with much to tell.
Vila Real region presents vestiges of human occupancy since remote periods, as was once an important Roman locality, specially in the 1st century b.C.. Here passed an important road that served Panóias.
The structure is nowadays composed of four round arches with different sizes and a slightly inclined roadway.

This bridge is classified as a Public Interest Building since 1977.
