Agualva

Praia da Vitória

Information

Agualva is a rural charming village located on the northeast coast of the amazing Terceira Island, Azores Archipelago.

This is a place of fertile soils and abundant water courses that, inclusively, gave name to the village, due to their crystalline purity of “alvas” (white, clear) waters.

Agualva presents lovely panoramas with monuments such as the Nossa Senhora de Guadalupe Parish Church, the Holy Spirit Empire and the Divine Holy Spirit of Outeiro de Agualva Empire, or even the many rural legacies of great charm, symbol of the agricultural influence of Agualva, with delightful Watermills, fountains, among many other instruments of the past.

At 1085 meters high, from the Pico Alto, one has an astonishing panorama over Terceira Island and the vast amazing Atlantic Ocean.
