Espiche

Espiche is a small village nearby Luz village, in Lagos, situated in the Touristic region of the Algarve.

The village is characterized by its traditional small white houses with the Algarve’s typical chimneys, a strong heritage of the marked Moorish presence in the region that prevailed for centuries.

Espiche is still a village with many rural features, even though all the big Touristic development of the region, that also changed the landscape. During summer months, due the proximity with the much appreciated Algarve’s golden beaches, the locality is filled with visitors, having therefore a good offer of services, restaurants, bars and commerce.

The settlement is proud of its Mother Church and the many popular festivities, with lots of Algarve folklore dance and music all around.
