Parque da Belavista

Lisbon: Luz Stadium Tour and SL Benfica Museum Ticket

With an area of 85 ha, the Parque da Bela Vista offers large areas of grassland and wooded lawn, cut by a network of paths. The highest areas are viewpoints that allow a broad view over the city and the Tagus. The Park was an old farm with it's rural aspect still preserved in its vast area. There are many examples of Portuguese flora and fauna, and a variety of birds. It also acts as a large urban park that is part of the so-called Eastern Park, the largest patch of green this part of the city. It's been home to the mega festival "Rock in Rio Lisboa".It's most distinct feature is the central clearing, based on a rounded valley which descends gently to the south towards the river, and where you can enjoy a nice picnic in the park, and the golf course, all connected by an extensive network of paths. The two parts of the Park (North and South) are linked by a wide bridge on Avenida Marechal António de Spínola. Free entrance.
