Santa Luzia Fort Military Museum

Located on the lovely Santa Luzia Fort in Elvas, the Military Museum is installed in six different nucleus in the Fort interior (in the fort’s bunkers), approaching the military magnitude of this town throughout the centuries.

The Museum presents a permanent exhibition, mostly dedicated to children, including artillery and military examples, armory as well as other multimedia equipment that better demonstrate the all warlike and military history of Elvas and its importance.

As an important heritage of the town of Elvas, a military town by excellence, the Santa Luzia Fort Military Museum offers guided tours both on the interior and on the exterior of the Museum. It is also endowed with the capacity for around 25 people and a shop with local handicraft, among other goods.
