Fátima Lopes official shop with all the brand's products for Women and Men - fashion and fashion accessories
Fátima Lopes is the most international of Portuguese fashion designers, the first and only, for 21 consecutive years, to present her collections at Paris Fashion Week. She began her career in 1992 with the opening of the first Fátima Lopes shop in Lisbon. In 1995, the Fátima Lopes brand began to be commercially presented at various fashion fairs in Paris and the following year she opened her boutique in the City of Light. She began to diversify her products, creating collections of shoes, leather goods and fashion accessories. He was the first Portuguese fashion designer to present a collection at Paris Fashion Week, and has done so twice a year since 1999.In 2000, she surprised the world when she walked the runway in Paris wearing the world's most expensive bikini, valued at one million dollars in gold and diamonds.In 2006, Fátima Lopes was awarded the title of "Commander of the Order of Infante D. Henrique" for her services to Portuguese culture.
2017 marked the brand's 25th anniversary with an exhibition of 25 pieces representing 25 years of collections and a major fashion show in the space that gave birth to the brand: the Beato Convent.
In 2019 it marked its 20th anniversary at Paris Fashion Week by presenting its 41st collection. The show, presented at the Portuguese Embassy in Paris, had the theme "Portugal" and paid homage to the Portuguese soul and culture.
2022 was a very important year, in September she celebrated 30 years of her career, with the biggest fashion show ever held in Portugal, with 80 mannequins on the catwalk and giving shape to the collection inspired by the three decades of the Fátima Lopes brand.The year ended with the realisation of a much desired and planned project, the opening of a new shop on Avenida da Liberdade in Lisbon.In 2023, Fátima Lopes was invited to join the Board of Directors of the Arab Chamber of Commerce and Industry Portugal, and was given responsibility for fashion.
The year ended with the presentation of her Autumn/Winter 23/24 collection at the Palácio de Queluz, with a fashion show honouring the arts, the first time this venue has opened its doors to a fashion and art event.
