Arcaínha Anta

Classified as a Public Interest Building, the Arcaínha Anta, also known as Seixo da Beira Dolmen is an interesting megalithic monument, recently renovated, located on the proximities of Seixo da Beira small village.

It is thought that this megalithic monument was built in the end of the Neolithic period. The archaeological research in the site revealed ceramics fragments and vases with a very own form and typical decoration of the period between the end of the Cooper Age and the beginning of the Bronze Age.

The Arcaínha Anta is constituted by a polygonal chamber and corridor relatively long, conserving its covering slabstone and involving tumulus.
