Brenhas River Roman Bridge

Moura - Moura

Small bridge over the River Brenhas, it is thought to be built during the period of Roman occupation in the Iberian Peninsula, although there are no official confirmation of the fact.

It is thought to be part of the military Roman road that linked Moura (in those days named “Aruccitana” to Évora (an important roman metropolis, known as “Ebora”).

The bridge is classified as a Public Interest Building, constituted by a small wall over a round arch with an opening of 6 meters, built in schist and granite.
