Information

Situated in the Tomar and Abrantes departments, in the Central region of Portugal, the Castelo de Bode Dam belongs to the Dam set of the Zêzere Basin, and is considered to be one of the greatest and more important Dam in the Country.

The lake has an area of about 60 km, throughout a astonishing landscape, among valleys, mountain ranges, pine tree forests, combining perfect conditions for the most diversified nautical, sport, leisure and tourist activities.
This gigantic water reserve supplies the huge Lisboa region, approximately 3 millions of people.
Right in the middle of the lake is situated a small island, named “Ilha do Lombo”, an idyllic spot where is also situated a pleasant hotel.

On the surrounding area there are other tourist and accommodation units, such as the Campsite, Restaurants, and Shops, Hotels and B&B’s, among many other facilities, including delightful boat tours.
