Ferreirós do Dão is a charming and ancient village in the Tondela department, filled with beauty and tradition, on a charming and welcoming rural ambiance.

The most ancient historical references known date back from 976, showing off the heritage of the region, and the good conditions it offered for the populations.

The Ferreirós do Dão region is located in an area of several water courses, such as the Dão, Asnes or Pavia Rivers, and certainly is a region occupied by Men since ancient times. It was an important locality by the times of Roman occupancy of the territory, as it was located in a fertile area, and also a place of passage for troops, trading and goods. As a legacy from this period, the Roman Bridge over the amazing Dão River, in an area nowadays transformed into a pleasant Fluvial Beach, is quite looked for by locals and visitors and a privileged stage for the most diversified leisure and sport activities.

Another highlight of the village is the lovely Mother Church, that clearly states out the tradition and devotion of the population even nowadays.
