On the hillside in Seac Pai Van Park in Coloane in a fan-shaped layout of about 3000m2, the Giant Panda Pavilion is designed to take advantage of combining natural undulations of the land with architectural features.

In 1825, when they were not yet known giant pandas, red panda was discovered, having been given the English name Panda. The meaning of the name is in Nepali those eating bamboo. Upon discovery of the giant panda, came to the conclusion that there were two different kinds of pandas. So the panda discovered in 1825 became known as panda or small panda red panda discovered while in 1869 became known as the giant panda, adopting the same name.

Opening hours: 10:00-13:00, 14:00-17:00 (last entry until 04:45).
Closed on Mondays, entry every 6 per day;
Closed the 3rd Thursday 2nd Monday if Monday is a public holiday.

Please purchase tickets in advance due to the limited number of admission.
