Williamsox is based in Portugal, where our socks are designed and produced. We are proud to say that the country is well known throughout the industry for its high quality textile manufacturing.Our brand is dedicated to the development and production of stylish socks, at the crossover between fashion and functionality. We are a small company, but also constantly taking steps to improve and decrease our environmental impact wherever we can. Our roots are in skate and surf culture, with our founder being a Portuguese surfer, the ocean and environment are hugely important to us.
We now produce around 70% of our styles in organic cotton, the socks in our most recent collection are all 100% organic cotton. Organic cotton farming uses no toxic chemicals and causes far less damage to the soil and air. The resulting material is better for both the environment, as well as you.
Our packaging is mostly cardboard and paper based, which is recyclable. We also use minimal plastic throughout the manufacturing, transportation and delivery process, to limit waste as much as possible without affecting the quality of the socks when you receive them.
We have goals to move to recycled cardboard for our packaging next. We are constantly evolving as we grow, looking to constantly improve.
